In this very special project by Prof. Tevfik Balcioglu, we transformed a historic educational building of more than half a millennia old to a contemporary educational centre: A design library welcoming researchers from all over the world, as well as the children of neighbourhood. We have been nominated for the most prestigious Europa Nostra award with this project. It was also awarded as the best local restoration of 2017 in Izmir.
